Recently have developed a successful working prototype for the Nikon cameras.

Looking for Nikon users with some technical knowledge enough to build an IR transmitter and beta test app. Preferably Nikon users with video capability.

will this nikon app work with D3100 also?

  Hi Anil, I had a quick look at the specs for the D3100 online and there doesn’t seem to have any IR remote capability. As the iPhone app is dependant on this to run, the app wont work without it. I haven’t checked this out myself but I know canon cameras have extra battery grips that you can attach which have an IR receiver, nikon may have something similar.

I have built the ir receiver only to find that it is not working with Nikon (my fault for not rtfm)

I have a D90 will that work in a future release?

Hello, I’ve built an IR receiver, and can confirm it is putting out signal. I have a nikon d80 that I would like to test this device with.

  Hi Nguyen, The next version of the app supports Nikon, however please check your camera if it supports the standard Nikon IR remote control as the app is entirely dependant on this to work. There are alternatives such as battery grips that may provide IR support should it not be built in to the camera.
